About the site

Clear next steps without pretending to inspect your property

Water Damage Source is an independent information resource for homeowners, renters, and property decision-makers dealing with leaks or flooding.

What we publish

We turn public safety and recovery guidance into practical checklists, decision tools, state evidence summaries, service explainers, and locally sourced Houston resources. Our pages are designed to help a reader recognize immediate hazards, document damage, ask better questions, and understand when qualified help may be needed.

What we do not claim

We do not inspect buildings, provide restoration work, determine insurance coverage, certify that an area is safe, promise a drying time, or operate an emergency dispatch service. We do not own a local restoration office or Google Business Profile.

How the launch content was made

The Water Damage Source Editorial Team prepared source packs from public agencies. An AI writing model assisted with first drafts of service and state and Houston guides. Automated checks then screened source IDs, safety language, duplicate copy, metadata, coverage conclusions, and unsupported promises. AI assistance is not professional review, and we do not describe it as such.

Who reviewed a page

Each guide links to its review record. The current launch pages received editorial source review only. A restoration, building-science, legal, or insurance credential will appear only after the named reviewer and an official verification link are published.

Why the research page has no price index yet

The cost and scope methodology is public before the dataset. We will not publish a national statistic or market price from a thin, unverified sample.
